I worked at the Morris Dining Center (nicknamed "MORC") during the Summer to earn money for school.
It was relatively physically demanding, but the work involves little brainpower. Either you're scrubbing dishes, putting dirty
dishes into the dishwasher, or taking clean dishes out. I got a good $6.90 an hour -- more than I ever got working for three
years at Rita's Water Ice.

This is the Morc. It looks small from here, but it's very, very big. Inside is a lounge, the cafeteria, the kitchen,
and the Cougar Cove (a small convenience store and fast food place).

This is the dishwashing area. The thing on the left is the dishwasher. It's big and hot and steamy. The dishes go
in and out on a conveyor belt, which has shelves to hold the dishes. There are 266 shelves. I know this because Saturdays
at the Morc can sometimes be a little slow.

This is Crystal. She was the dishwashing supervisor for most of the summer. She is a very cool person, and we shared
a lot of the same interests, like reading Sci-Fi/Fantasy books, so we got along great. We even had a few conversations, when
we felt like yelling over the clashing dishes and rumbling dishwasher.

The kitchen. 'Nuff said.

The hole in the wall is where people stick their dirty trays so we can wash them. The excess food is scraped into that
little river of brownish water, and the dishes are put in the dishwasher. Yum.

This is Allison, another of the fellas who worked with me. She's also Crystal's roomie. She loves Lord of the Rings,
so we had plenty to talk about.
